DIY Christmas Horse Treats

As all of you know our horses LOVE treats. Use our favorite recipe to make them yourself! 

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups of oats or rolled barley

  • 1 can pumpkin

  • 2 cups water

  • 2 tsp. baking powder

  • 1 ¾ cup flour

  • 2 tsp cinnamon

  • Optional: 1 tbs of a gain such as chia seeds, and peppermints to top

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Thoroughly mix the pumpkin and water together.

  3. Add the dry ingredients to the mixture.

  4. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a greased cookie sheet.

  5. Optional: add peppermint toppings!

  6. Bake for 20 minutes.

Bring these yummy treats to your next lesson and the horses will thank you!
