May Stableview Trial Recap

Introducing Team Crouse everyone!!! I am SOOOO proud of my students this weekend. Every single one of them have put in so much hard work the past few months and it absolutely paid off.

Matthew has been a student with us for 6 months, and started from ground 0. He took on Intro B on Mac this weekend and gave a ride I couldn’t be prouder of, and took home the blue!!

Ashley took on both her and Mac’s first ever trial, ended with a very respectable dressage score and 2 double clear runs to take 5th place in a very competitive division. She absolutely killed it!

Reese the dressage rider, is now a jumper! She took on her first CT this weekend with Cash (his very first show) and took home second. I am so very proud of how hard this girl worked on jumping and was able to run a double clear in only 4 weeks!

Kiera tackled a move up to Training 1 with Cash on his first show and rode a heck of a test! She has only been riding Cash for a month and he had no previous dressage experience. The difference she has made in 4 weeks is astounding and it’s an honor watching them grow as a team. She took home 7th!

Teagan ran through all 3 phases on Saturday and is going to be joining us for her first trial next go around!

Lincoln took on his 2nd BN this weekend, and first one back for me since my injury.

I am thrilled with how this boy showed up for dressage. Ending with what I can say was the best ride in the sandbox we’ve ever had! Dressage has always been a struggle for him and the lots of work we’ve been doing at home paid off.

Unfortunately the heat got to him coming into show jump, and he wasn’t very careful with his legs, taking some poles with him.

We brought it back for the best XC run we’ve ever had. We felt more in unison than we ever have and stepped on the gas as there was quite a bit more hills than we were used to, along with Lincoln feeling a bit slower than usual with the heat. It was definitely the hardest XC course we’ve done, adding both distance and 4 jumps since our last one. We had nothing to worry about, as we ended up coming in 45 seconds under optimum time for a double clear round.

Proud of this boy, and ready to go back to work to keep moving forward!

Team Crouse you make me proud! ❤️
